Shooting Times and Beginner's Courses

The dates for the next beginner's course are confirmed  - we start on 14th January 2007 and run through to 4th March inclusive, with a break on Sunday 18th . As usual there will be six people on the course.
Our next course will be in September 2007 - dates to be confirmed. I'll be contacting everyone still on the waiting list to check out if they are still interested or have been accommodated elsewhere / changed their minds. This means that from now until 4th March club shoots will start at 1200 - we're going to try to concentrate on indoors for a while as there are a couple of indoor comps coming up.

Postal League

I've submitted the Portmouth scores for December, and i will let you know how we're getting on when I get the other club scores.

Club Records

Club Records and current / new handicaps will be on the website soon - watch this space

North Wales Archery Society

Next executive meeting is on 31st January at Corus Sports and Social Club from 7.00pm. We can send two representatives. If anyone would like to come along you'd be very welcome - please let me know.

The turnout at the North Wales AGM on 10th December was a bit low - does anyone have any ideas on how attendance could be boosted?

NWAS still has a vacancy on the exec for a tournament organiser. If anyone would like to do this job please let me know. As the position is vacant we may need to give additional help in organising the North Wales tournaments so if anyone is prepared to help out with this, again give me a call.

Archery Interchange UK

For those of you who haven't already come across AIUK - it's a discussion forum for archers. AIUK also runs postal leagues and virtual competitions.

Wrexham hosted the North Wales leg of the AIUK virtual Frostbite competition on 30th December - this was voted a success by all who attended primarily because of Mary's outstanding chilli con carne!

And Finally....

Congratulations to Big Al - overall score of 662 in the frostbite - 4th highest score in the UK! Great result!
