We are an archery club based, as the name suggests, in Wrexham, which is in North East Wales. We are affiliated to the Grand National Archery Society (GNAS) and we specialise in target archery. We have members both young and not so young and we shoot every weekend throughout the year.
Our Club, originally founded by Mr Jim Donaldson founder member of Overton Archers shoot at St Christopher’s School and are called now Wrexham Bowmen. Our facilities provide archery all year round for the East Clwyd and Wrexham catchment area.
We now have over 30 members with at least a dozen archers who regularly shoot at competitions around the UK.
We run beginners courses throughout the year, but numbers are limited. If you'd like more information about how to join Wrexham Bowmen click here.
Archery Type
We shoot at targets placed at different distances ranging from 10 to 100 yards. We have an indoor facility to shoot at between 10 and 20 yards, which we use during the winter season and our outdoor field allows us to shoot up to 100 yards. Our members shoot Longbow, Re-curve and Compound Bows.
